Maintenance Services
Regular Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is one of the most effective investments you can make in your refrigeration and HVAC systems.
It reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns, extends equipment lifespan, keeps your systems running efficiently, and ensures ongoing regulatory compliance.
At AeroClime, we create tailored PPM contracts specific to your site, your equipment, and your operational requirements so you get exactly the level of cover you need.
10 reasons you should keep your equipment maintained:
| 1. Improve Energy Efficiency Regular servicing ensures your equipment runs at peak efficiency, reducing energy consumption and lowering your operating costs. | 6. Enhance Performance & Reliability Regular maintenance keeps all components running smoothly, ensuring your equipment delivers consistent performance day after day. |
| 2. Extend the Lifespan of Your Equipment Planned maintenance reduces strain on components, helping equipment last longer and perform more reliably. | 7. Support Warranty Requirements Documented maintenance helps keep manufacturer warranties and insurance policies valid. |
| 3. Reduce the Risk of Emergency Repairs Preventative maintenance minimises unexpected faults, helping you avoid disruptive and costly emergency callouts. | 8. Prevent Costly Breakdowns Routine inspections allow engineers to identify and resolve minor issues before they develop into major, expensive failures. |
| 4. Maintain F-Gas Compliance Regular leak checks and accurate record keeping help ensure your refrigeration systems remain fully F-Gas compliant. | 9. Lower Long Term Operating Costs Preventative maintenance is far more cost effective than reactive repairs or premature equipment replacement. |
| 5. Minimise Operational Downtime Reliable systems keep your business running smoothly with minimal disruption. | 10. Protect Stock & Inventory Reduce losses caused by temperature fluctuations and equipment failure. |

What’s Included in a PPM Visit?
Every PPM visit is carried out thoroughly and documented in full.
Our standard checks include:
- Filter cleaning — ensure airflow and efficiency
- Grille inspection — check for blockages or damage
- Refrigerant level check — maintain optimal system performance
- Leak detection — prevent losses and ensure compliance
- System functionality test — verify all components operate correctly
- Compressor and condenser inspection — monitor critical components
- Electrical connections check — ensure safety and reliability
- Controls and thermostat calibration — maintain accurate operation
- Performance and efficiency review — identify improvements and reduce energy use
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a planned preventative maintenance (PPM)?
PPM means visiting your site on a scheduled basis to check, service and maintain your equipment before problems arise, rather than waiting for something to fail. This reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns, extends the life of your equipment, and keeps you compliant with ongoing regulatory requirements.
If you do experience a breakdown, our team is available 24/7 for emergency call-outs.
Why does my equipment need maintenance?
Refrigeration and HVAC equipment works hardest when it’s least visible, running continuously in the background to keep your operations, stock or building environment at the right temperature. Without regular servicing, small issues such as a refrigerant leak, a blocked filter or a failing component can go unnoticed until they cause a breakdown, increased energy use, or damage to stock and equipment. Planned maintenance catches these issues early, keeps your systems running efficiently, and helps you stay compliant with F-Gas regulatory requirements.
Do you maintain equipment you didn’t originally install?
Yes. We carry out PPM contracts and servicing on existing systems regardless of who installed them, across most major manufacturers and system types.
What happens if a fault is found during a routine visit?
We identify the issue, explain what we’ve found, and provide a quotation before carrying out any repair work. Routine visits don’t automatically include chargeable repairs, so you always know what you’re agreeing to before we proceed.
Can you maintain equipment from different manufacturers, under one contract?
Yes. We service a wide range of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and can bring multiple manufacturers and system types together, under a single PPM contract
Can you provide a maintenance contract across multiple sites?
Yes. Whether you need a PPM contract for a single unit or a large multi-site operation and across different counties, we tailor the plan to your equipment and requirements.
Does my equipment require an F-Gas leak check?
Yes. Commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems require regular F-Gas leak checks, and large commercial and industrial sites are also required to keep an F-Gas site register recording refrigerant movements. We carry out leak checks as part of our PPM visits and can maintain your site register for you.
Can regular maintenance reduce energy consumption?
Yes. Equipment that isn’t properly maintained must work harder to reach the same temperature, which increases energy use. Regular servicing helps keep your systems running at peak efficiency.
How often does my equipment need to be maintained?
It depends on the type of equipment and how critical it is to your operation. Equipment that’s essential to your business, such as production or process cooling, will typically need more PPM visits per year to help prevent failure or production loss. High-footfall areas, such as busy commercial spaces, also often need additional visits to maintain a healthy indoor environment
